V-Bank Insulated Inline Filter Boxes

Bag filters, or pocket filters, are used in HVAC applications as final filters in industrial, commercial and residential applications and as prefilters in HEPA installations.

Bag filters are the most common air filters in HVAC systems for industrial and commercial applications as well as for residential use to improve indoor air quality and comfort. The filters in the supply air are used as first and second filter stages, either as complete filtration solutions for these applications or as prefilters for cleanroom process applications. The filters are also used in the exhaust air or in recirculation systems to protect the air handling units. Bag filters have a significantly higher dust holding capacity and longer lifetimes than other filters.

Applications

The Multi-Pocket Bag Filter is a high efficiency filter and is designed for a wide range of air conditioning and general ventilation applications where large volumes of air are to be handled, and systems dictate high dust holding capacity, coupled with a low resistance.

High Performance Bag Filters are available in five efficiency grades, which gives a choice of characteristics to meet customer requirements for dust holding capacity, efficiencies and pressure loss.

High Performance Bag Filters are generally used for providing a high quality air, and are typically used on supply air to buildings including offices, schools and restaurants High Performance Bag Filters are associated with reductions in PM10 (Particulates less than 10 microns) and also PM2.5 (Particulates less than 2.5 microns) meeting the requirements of EN13779.

Description

The High Performance Multi Pocket Bag Filter comprises a corrosion resistant heavy gauge galvanised header frame housing the air filter media which is supported by a copper coated rod assembly and tags which keep the media pockets in place.

The continuous support down each HVAC Bag Filter pocket prevents them from blinding each other when inflated. Microfine Glass Media (HP) has a scrim on the air off face to minimise dust migration through the Air Filter Media, during service.

*Synthetic Air Filter Media (HPS), supplied as standard in Bag Filters is a non woven polyester fabric, ultrasonically welded to form the multi pocket design of the bags.
